Here's a band that have gone back to the roots of blues and hard rock. The Answer are a Northern Irish band formed in 2000 by guitarist Paul Mahon whose father, a jazz trumpeter, had toured with the likes of the Beach Boys.

In 2005 the band earned the title 'Best New Band' from Classic Rock Magazine and then supported Deep Purple at a small gig at the London Astoria in January 2006. The band have now released three full studio albums, and toured with AC/DC in 2008/2009 as the opening act on AC/DC's Black Ice tour.

The Answer are definitely a classic rock band you should go and see if you get the chance. Here they are performing Preachin' live in Germany in 2007
